Our first Read-through will be on THURSDAY, MAY 14th at 5:00 p.m. in the Vicksburg High School Choir Room. All cast are required to attend (unless previously noted: choir conflicts, etc.).
The first Parent/Company meeting will be THURSDAY, MAY 14th at 7:00 p.m. in the Vicksburg High School Choir Room. All company members, including cast are required to attend. Very important information will be handed out at that meeting, so parents are required to attend with children.

Plenty! South County Players is a diverse group of men, women and children committed to bringing theater to the Vicksburg area. We have been active since 1995. We meet monthly, and currently produce two plays a year, as well as radio dramas, dinner/dessert theater, and educational opportunities for area children. This site is brand new, and under construction. If you are a member of our group, please feel free to email the webmaster with photos and stories that you would like to contribute. Each summer we present one production featuring a predominantly adult cast. In 2005, we produced our first musical: "Forever Plaid". We followed that up in 2006 with the classic musical "Nunsense", and in 2007 we performed the Tony award-winning farce "Lend Me a Tenor". In June 0f 2008, we performed "A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum".
For 2009 we are performing "Robert Fulghum's All I Really Need to Know I Learned in Kindergerten".
During the summer we involve children from school age to adolescence in a full production. In 2008, we presented "Nick Tickle, Fairy Tale Detective".
For 2009 we are performing "The Wizard of Wobbling Rock".
For 2009 we are performing "Some Show Abouty a Murder" at Indian Run Golf Course Clubhouse.
Each year, in cooperation with local Girl Scout troops, we offer an interactive workshop on theater production. This covers everything from lighting, makeup, and set design to production, direction and acting.
We also offer a library play-reading day at the Vicksburg Community Library. This day-long activity exposes area school-age children to the joys of reading and theater.
